This picture book makes us think about the true meaning of traveling.
- Book Intro
Welcome. This is your paradise.
I have been waiting for you for quite some time.
This is the lastest book of So Yunkyung, who has been staring at the other side of the safe, sleek world. The blend of dense pen lines and digital colors creates a sensation both throbbing and overwhelming at the same time. The story begins with a family going on vacation. After the tiring flight to their destination, the first thing to welcome them is an air of unfamiliarity. A disinfected interior and fancy decorations, great-tasting delicacies and eye-catching performances. Everything they need is prepared. As the family finds themselves in an atmosphere that provides them escape from their daily routine, the reader is met with a new narrator. Who is this voice that we meet in the middle of the story? This voice that has entered the story like an uninvited guest invites us to a world outside of the straight path towards Hotel Paradise.
