Yi Yeongrok, the author, graduated from the Department of Engineering at Seoul National University. Having learned to play the piano as a child, he came to have a love for classical music. An engineer by occupation, he has run a personal website for twenty-five years, acting as the host for various online classical music communities. He has particular interest in the infinite diversity of classical music, and why it is so deeply moving.
