After studying economics at ChungAng University, Kim studied film directing at the University of Pune in India and at the Korea National University of Arts. She wrote and directed the short films Toilet and Rust. Her full-length ary Am I a Loser? made the final list of the Seoul International Women’s Film Festival and received the Audience Favorite Award. Presently, she writes dramas for the Korea Television and Radio Writers Association, and she also works as an interpreter for meditation related work. In Seven Days is her debut novel, and in it, she presents a realistic depiction of teenagers going through insecurity as they navigate life’s challenges.​
