Cho Seong-Ja received the top prize in the fairy tale category at the
National Women’s Writing Contest hosted by the Korean Culture and Arts
Foundation in 1985. That December, she won the New Writer’s Award for
Children’s Literature and began her career as a children’s author.
She currently runs the Cho Seong-Ja Fairy-Tale Workshop and continues to
write heartwarming stories for children she deeply loves.
Her works include Playground World, Pong-Pong and Tool-Tool
(a story featured in Korean school textbooks), and the Secret Series and
Three-Year Series.
